Kickstarter Update #12: Since the kickstarter campaign ended, we've been continually chipping away at our manufacturing costs. By swapping out certain components, simplifying designs, and employing some clever manufacturing approaches, we've been able to reduce costs substantially!
We’ve achieved these lower costs while actually improving functionality, for instance by upgrading the Modulo Controller to a much more powerful ARM based MCU.
Today I’m thrilled to announce that we’re passing these savings on to our community. We have rolled out all new prices in the modulo store, with most products dropping in price by 20%! These new prices will make Modulo accessible to even more people.
You can take advantage of these new lower prices today by visiting the Modulo store, store.modulo.co.
If you backed the Modulo kickstarter campaign, we want to thank you for your early support and ensure that you get a great value for your pledge. So, we will be sending you a separate email with a discount code, worth over 20% of your pledge amount!
World Maker Faire in New York
Next weekend, Sept 26-27, we will be at the World Maker Faire in New York. Atmel has graciously offered us space in their booth where we’ll be showing off several demos using our latest production-ready prototypes.
The Atmel booth alone will have a ton of cool things to see, not to mention the rest of the show. If you’re able to make it be sure to stop by and say hi!
When we launched our website earlier this year, we geared it primarily for the kickstarter campaign. Now that Modulo is almost ready to ship, we decided it was time for a revamp. With the help of our friends at tinymill.com, we just launched our new homepage. It maintains the same great Modulo style but no longer relies on kickstarter to explain what Modulo is or how it’s used. Check it out at www.modulo.co.
Hope to see you at makerfaire and as always, connect with us at community.modulo.co or over email any time!
